We’ve found five of them for you here, so get ready to break out those stretchy pants (but not too much).
- Bastible
- The Chart House, Co. Cork
- The Green Hen
- Xico
- The Greenery
Dublin has a lot of great restaurants, but these five are especially good. They’re all located in Dublin and are definitely worth visiting. If you’re looking for the best restaurants in Ireland, then we have a list of five that you should visit.
1. Bastible

Located in Temple Bar, the Bastible is a small restaurant renowned for its burgers. They offer a selection of different burgers and fries, ranging from the classic to more unique options like the ‘Glamburger’ with blue cheese sauce and caramelized onions. They also have a veggie burger option if you’re looking to eat meat-free. The Bastible has been around since 2008, so they’re pretty well known by now! They’re open from 11:30am until 9pm every single day except Sunday, when they close at 7pm because it’s just not worth getting up early on Monday morning to cook people breakfast.
2. The Chart House, Co. Cork

Located in Kinsale, The Chart House is a great place to get fresh seafood and dine with a view of the harbor. It’s also one of the best restaurants in Ireland for getting your fill on food from land or sea (or both). The menu here changes daily depending on what’s available at local markets, but you can expect dishes like pan seared salmon fillet served with Puy lentils and sautéed spinach; grilled Atlantic cod cakes served with mashed potato and spring vegetables; or grilled sirloin steak served with garlic butter sauce. Prices range from 15 to 30 euros per person (excluding wine).
3. The Green Hen

A vegetarian restaurant in Temple Bar, The Green Hen is an award-winning restaurant that has a Michelin star and a great atmosphere. The menu is varied, with influences from both Europe and Asia, and the wine list includes hard to find bottles from small producers.
