Making a 3D heart card is quite easy. You just need some paper and glue. You can use any type of paper, but we recommend using a thicker one like card stock or tagboard.
How To Make A 3D Heart Card
Step 1: Cut out a large heart shape from your chosen paper. Make sure that it’s big enough to fit around your wrist (or other body part).
Step 2: Fold the two sides of the heart inward, so that they meet in the middle. Use a glue stick or tacky craft glue to hold them together securely.
Step 3: Next, fold over one side of the heart and tuck it under the other side of the heart (see photo). This will make it look like an envelope with flaps on both sides.
Step 4: Now fold over one flap again, so that it overlaps with the other flap and creates an envelope shape inside the heart. Apply glue around all four sides to keep everything secure (see photo).

Making a 3D heart card can be a fun and easy project. The hardest part is finding the right materials! You’ll need:
Cardstock in red, white and/or pink (or other colors of your choice)
Scissors or craft knife
Ruler
Glue stick or double-sided tape
A small image of a heart (optional)
The first thing you want to do is cut out your hearts. You’ll need three different sizes for this project: one large one, one medium one and one small one. After cutting out your hearts, glue them together to form a larger heart shape. If you have an image of a heart that you’d like to use as decoration on your card, place it between two layers of paper before gluing them together so that it doesn’t get buried under everything else when we go on to the next step.
Heart cards are one of the most popular Valentine’s Day cards. They’re easy to make, and they’re fun to give. This tutorial will show you how to make a 3D heart card with just a few supplies and tools.
Supplies:
Cardstock paper (any color)
Scissors or craft knife
Glue (I used a hot glue gun)
Painter’s tape or masking tape
Ribbon or string (optional)
Instructions:
Cut 5 identical hearts from your cardstock paper using either scissors or a craft knife. I cut my hearts out in about 30 seconds using my craft knife, but it took me about 20 minutes to get all five hearts cut out by hand!
Fold each heart in half along its length so that it has two layers of thickness at the top and bottom edges. This will help the heart stand up straight when you start taping it together later on in this project.
