When it comes to Valentine’s Day, there are only a few things that you should absolutely never do.
Don’t give your sweetheart a dozen roses. This is a cliché that has been done to death and is just too obvious.
Don’t make your special someone a homemade card or gift. This is another cliché that really isn’t needed anymore, unless you are the “crafty” type who enjoys doing such things.
Don’t buy your sweetheart jewelry or other material gifts (unless they’re really expensive). It shows that you don’t care about what they like and that you’re just trying to win them over with material objects. You’ll just end up spending more money than if you would have just gotten them something they wanted instead.
